The speaking body
My work talks about the body. I use my own body, my emotions, thoughts, dreams as inspiration for photographic making ranging from collage self-portraits to double exposure, damaged images, reprints, photocopies, textures. In them I ask myself about my desire, my hopes, my fears. About having a body, being a body, taking a body. A body is also the emotions that run through it, the ideas it is affected by, the pain that breaks it, the blazing joy that infuses it.
Where does a body begin and where does it end? How is my identity built?
To be a body, to have a body, is also to be naked. With age we forgive our body, we reconcile with it. Nudity is always scandalous because it allows us to see what cannot be seen, it delimits a territory in sight and touch that in reality has no extension or grip.
Body as desire, freedom and hope as a free territory to inhabit.

El Cuerpo hablante
Mi trabajo habla sobre el cuerpo. Utilizo mi propio cuerpo, mis emociones, pensamientos, sueños como inspiración para el hacer fotográfico que van desde autorretratos con collage a la doble exposición, imágenes dañadas, reimpresas, fotocopias, texturas. En ellas me pregunto sobre mi deseo, mis esperanzas, mis miedos. Sobre tener un cuerpo, ser un cuerpo, tomar cuerpo. Un cuerpo también son las emociones que lo atraviesan, las ideas de las que es afectado, el dolor que lo quiebra, el goce fulgurante que lo infunde.
¿Dónde comienza y dónde termina un cuerpo? ¿De qué manera se construye mi identidad?
Ser cuerpo, tener un cuerpo, también es estar desnuda. Con la edad perdonamos nuestro cuerpo, nos reconciliamos con él. La desnudez siempre es escandalosa porque permite ver lo que no se puede ver, delimita un territorio a la vista y al tacto que en realidad no tiene extensión ni asidero.
Cuerpo como deseo, libertad y la esperanza como territorio libre de habitar.
